It is hard to tell what is real in this life. It is hard to tell who is real. Even in our own heads things get muddled and mixed up. That is unless you make yourself very quiet. If you go deep enough inside your head you will hear the sweet word. It will be a personal word but it will set the whole world right for you. When things appear unkind or ugly, disorganized or just plain out of whack than you know that these things are false. When things appear pretty, nice, desirable and good then you know that these things are true and real. When things get difficult in life it is time to stop. Listen to what is inside. You have all the answers but it is up to you to listen.

March 20, 200860,000 Positive Thoughts
March 16, 2008When you are sitting and just thinking, what do you think about? Maybe, “Oh my arm hurts”. Or, “I have a headache”. If you are driving maybe you think, “That guy just cut me off at the light”. Then when you give room to one of those thoughts where does it go? “My arm hurts so I had better watch out for a heart attack.” “It must be a tumor.” “I’m going to follow that guy until he parks and give him a piece of my mind.” In an average day you think about 60,000 thoughts. How many of these will you allow to be negative? You see, we know there will be problems in life. That’s what life is about. It’s a school house. We learn from problems. But, to be a productive, happy human being you must give more room to the positive thoughts then you do to the negative.
What makes great men and great women great is few but firm principles. Try saying to yourself “I always have a smile on my face”. Then live it. If you say just that one thing to yourself 30,000 times in a day you will only have room enough left for a possible 30,000 negative thoughts. But don’t stop there. Admire yourself in the mirror. Plan to buy flowers and gifts for someone. Play the thankful game. I’m grateful for my parents. I’m grateful for my daughter. I’m grateful for my car. Keep it going. This will form an attitude. That attitude will form good habits. Your life will soon reflect it.
What Do You Want?
March 9, 2008Probably one of the hardest things to do is sit down and write a list of what you really want. Even harder is to be specific. Everyone says money. What would you do with the money? Would it matter really that you don’t have money if you have the real object of your desire? What if someone handed you a million dollars? Would it destroy you? Would it enhance your life? Would you drive yourself nuts deciding how to spend it? Would you need to spend a large portion of it on a shrink to first get your head straight? Could you somehow buy wisdom? Are you happy now? I mean are you happy in your present situation with or without the million?
