Money

May 29, 2008

You can have anything you want. You just can’t have everything. I cannot remember where this quote came from and I am not sure how I feel about it. Everyone thinks money is the most important thing to them and in reality it probably is rarely about the money. I want to be the boss. I want to be important. I want to be adored by women. I want to be famous. To each person one of these things will be more important than money. Money is only a piece of paper and a one followed by a zero makes ten and a zero is nothing but a one followed by six zeros makes a million. It’s all in the perception. But once you have the recognition and enough to eat and a sufficient roof over your head, why then, Baby, give me wads and gobs of money. EN says money is the yardstick by which we measure the amount of service a person gives. If you want more money, give more service. It all starts with thinking. If I want money and I want the kind of money that will make me happy I first have to be happy. I have to have a Mr W mindset. The attitude must come first. I think of money as being a happiness amplifier. When a small, mean, depressed person gets rich I believe he gets smaller, meaner and far more depressed. I believe when a happy, helpful, joyful person gets rich she gets happier, more helpful and far more joyful. I have more money now than when I started in this forum and I am happier. But I cannot let my guard down. Being happy is a choice and it takes an effort. But, then again so does being unhappy. When you are happy it is easier to be more focused on what you really want and being focused you are more detailed in your image. Money is such funny stuff. We get weirded out on it. It’s okay to be famous but not quite as okay to be rich. It’s okay to own a business but not quite as okay to be rich. Someone will say the bible says money is the root of all evil and another will say no, it says the love of money is the root of all evil. Has anyone ever read the bible all the way through? Jesus said the man who took the money and stuffed it in his mattress was a horrible person and the guy who invested it and got rich was much better. Use a little reason. Money will never do a bad thing. Nor will it ever do a good thing. It will never do anything. People do. Money just sits looking pretty with all its wonderful zeros. Money should be equated with love and you can give a lot of love with a lot of money. Money makes life pleasant. Never forget that there are valuable treasures that have nothing to do with money. Your brain can never be replaced with any amount of money. Your health the same way. But I can pour down handfuls of supplements every day that will make my life longer with a higher quality about it. That would take 800 bucks a month or maybe a thousand.  It’s okay to be the boss. Be a loving boss. It’s okay to be famous. Be lovingly famous. It’s okay to be rich. Be lovingly rich. I think we worry too much. Money is not a big deal from the standpoint of evil. It just is not connected. People can be evil. Money can’t. People have choice. Money does not have choice. And yes we do design our own environment. Look around you and this is what you have manifested. This is what you really wanted whether you will admit it or not. Now, put on your Mr W attitude and love yourself rich. Love all those around you and be happy. It is a choice.

The Truth About Double

May 8, 2008

In most cases a little means a lot. A little cyanide does a lot. It will kill you! In the olden days, hitting a baseball a tiny bit more often would double your income. A pinch of salt makes a bland dish come to life. It’s that tiny little extra that makes it all work, the difference between success and failure.

Double a penny each day and continue doing it for only 30 days and what happens? .02, .04, .08, .16, .32, .64, 1.28, 2.56, 5.12, 10.24. By the tenth day you’ve gotten $20.47 if you add it all up.

Little Johnny got up one morning and got into his sharebuilder.com account. He found he had 500 dollars saved up. For 20 bucks commission he found he could buy a 1000 shares of Luminent Mortgage stock for 280 bucks and then 5 minutes later offer to sell it at 325 bucks. Getting it sold quickly little Johnny put 25 bucks in his pocket.

Doubling on you get 20.48, 40.96, 81.92, 163.84, 327.68, and 655.36. Little Johnny was able to do this all because he stopped buying his daily candy bar and instead began putting the money into his sharebuilder savings account. You see, he was putting $ 0.95 into the vending machine each day so that he could enjoy his empty calories and get 20 seconds of sweet joy.

$1,310.72, $2,621.44, $5,242.88, $10,485.76, $20,971.52, $41,943.04, $83,886.08, and then $167,772.16. When he heard the story of the Doubling Penny he realized that in less than 2 years he would have enough money saved to buy a 1000 shares of a small obscure little stock that would actually fluctuate slightly every few minutes.

On the 25th day the doubling penny went from $167,772.16 on to become $335,544.32 and then $671,088.64. Little Johnny realized that even though his lucky penny really couldn’t do that in real life his $0.95 candy machine money could in reality grow to a thousand bucks in 3 short years.

On the 28th day Mr. Penny would have grown to $1,342,177.28 and on the 29th becoming $2,684,354.56 to finally becoming $5,368,709.12. Little Johnny was blown away by the fact that if he could earn 25 bucks from a 1000 shares he could earn 50 by buying 2000 shares. This meant he could double his money by the 4th year all from his candy bar money.

Adding up each day’s penny money we see that 30 days worth of doubling adds up to over ten million dollars. Mr Wizard looked into his crystal ball and saw that Little Johnny grew up to be a janitor at the local elementary school. He wasn’t very smart and well, he really did enjoy tidying up the school house. As he got older he retired.

At 65 years old, Johnny reclines back in his easy chair. “I think I’ll have a candy bar,” he muses to himself. As he slowly munches away he opens up his Sharebuilder statement and smiles. “Ahhh. $65,493,841.37. “Life is beautiful. I am the richest janitor in the world!”

You see ladies and gentlemen, you do not need to have a high I.Q. or a high paying job. Just the little act of putting away an awfully small amount of money can yield you an incredible future. Yes, it is possible.

Constructive Criticism

May 3, 2008

First off there is no such thing as constructive criticism. Any criticism is destructive and damaging. It’s like affirmations. We affirm what we want conditions to be. When we give thought to negative things we attract negative things in our life.

I believe when we criticize we are actually recognizing a limiting trait, our own, in another person. Everyone has had to meet and conquer their own demons. These demons have names such as greed, lust, selfishness, intemperance, intolerance, and anger. Criticism must be recognized as a mirror in which we see something that is wrong with our own personality.

I believe that if you put in a strong effort to improve yourself it can not help but call on unseen forces which will influence everyone around you. As you fervently work on improving yourself everyone gets lifted up at the same time. If you see damaging lust in someone else think real hard upon where lust is in your own mind. If you see anger in another work your own anger out and get rid of every last bit of rage that might be hiding inside of you.

At the same time do not be so very hard on yourself. If you see these things in another have joy that your own shortcoming has come to your attention so that you can immediately fix it. Then fix your attention on the strengths that you have.

The universe is kept in balance by the power of love. The planets are kept in suspension and in proper position by the same power.

Learn to practice tolerance, acceptance, forgiveness and patience. These words belong to a power called truth. Avoid their opposites. They belong to a false universe. Do not be deceived. There is far more good around us than bad. The world is constantly getting better. Truth is the love you feel. Be happy today.
